Well, finally we bought a foldable electric bike to have on Blue Horizon. However, they are rather expensive so we only bought one 🙂 Not sure how we should solve the challenge and fact that we actually are two persons that might want to cruise aorund on an island 😉
The model i Evobike and the weight is only 20kg. The range around 30-50km. the battery is hidden inside the frame and not visible. the whole bike is good quality build with components from samsung, bosch, shimano. Probably also some chinese conttribution but nevertheless, the bike feels very solid and stable in its components. it runs well also. There is a vorkshop meny that you can log in to (if you have the secret code) and change max top speed and its wheel size. Especially the wheelsize is something that increase or decrease the bikes 25km/h limit (when it stops helping you).
Our sailboat will have a Lithium pack of 500Ah and 800W solarpanel from this summer (some upgrades this year) so we will have power enough to not worry anymore.
